Sparkling Gem
We created a carpet of gemstones using feature porcelain tiles for the backdrop of this modern family bathroom. The striking tiles are designed using a scattering of tiny fragments, giving the impression of irregular pieces of grey Carrara marble set in a white base creating an exquisite sparkling update on traditional Italian tiles.
The centre of this stunning family bathroom is a statement rimless, free-standing bath by Victoria & Albert with subtle ambient lighting within a designer recess. We chose Laufen’s new Ino basin made from their revolutionary SaphirKeramik, with a unique lightweight aluminium vanity unit to create a slender profile. The ceramic is typically 40% lighter than traditional basins and offers the ability to create wafer thin designs with 4-5mm thickness compared with the standard 8-10 mm. The sleek design continued with a recessed Paliline mirrored cabinet by Schneider positioned over the basin providing additional lighting, essential storage and a shaver socket.
The colour tones were kept to neutral grey and white throughout allowing surfaces to blend together. A wall hung WC by Laufen with a white and stainless steel flush plate by Geberit reflect the sparkling tiles. White and chrome Hansgrohe Puravida mixer taps and matching shower head by Hansgrohe add a sensual sculptural shape with an avant-garde design further brightening this beautiful family bathroom.
