Powder Blue Retreat
Our priority for this couple was to create individual ensuites’ for each of their daughter’s rooms followed by designing their master ensuite. Matching the design, lifestyle and colour tones of their bedrooms, after consultation the brief for the first of their two daughter’s rooms was to create a tranquil minimal ensuite with a less is more approach.
A colour scheme of powder blue and warm grey was chosen, this calm colour combination adds harmony and works beautifully in contemporary bathroom designs.
Walls of soft powder blue reflect the qualities of the sky creating a relaxing backdrop to the room accompanied by beautifully crafted white furniture to retain the simplicity of the design. We chose a mix of modern and bespoke shapes to keep with the overall contemporary design. Laufen’s sleek back to wall WC with stylish chrome Geberit flush plate retained the clean lines of the room.
For the vanity area we wanted to create much needed storage as well as a feature piece for the room. Artelinea’s stunning and elegant Domino 44 vanity unit in bianco with an opalite curvaceous basin softened the overall look. A pure white caesarstone shelf above the wc and vanity unit allowed for further surface and decorative accessories to personalise the space.
Leading a busy and active life it was vital that we created a shower area for their daughter that was not only functional and contemporary but also a relaxing haven. A spacious walk in shower area was designed for the bathroom ensuite with a Bette floor tray and Hansgrohe contemporary Hansgrohe overhead shower and flow pencil handset.
We created a focal point within the shower area by incorporating reflective soft blue mosaic tiles in a strip design as you enter the shower and within two feature recesses. Led lights were added to the recesses and under the vanity area offering subtle lighting in this powder blue contemporary retreat.
